Lady Harvesters Walked the Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday

Behind a strong pitching performance from Kynleigh Kirby, the Pampa Lady Harvesters defeated the Borger Lady Bulldogs 10-0 Tuesday at Lady Harvester Field. The game was called after five innings.

Carsyn Hunt led off the bottom of the first with a single. Hunt would then steal second base. McKinley Daniels sacrificed Hunt to third and Hunt would eventually score on a passed ball. Back-to-back walks to Kirby and Briley Daniels put runners on first and second. Cambree Dyer would then single to right field scoring Hadley Gonzalez from second base who had come in to run for Kirby. Pampa would take a 2-0 lead after the first inning.

In the second inning Pampa would add three more runs. Michelle Gallegos reached on an error, Ella Hudson walked and then Hunt would single up the middle to score Gallegos from second. McKinley Daniels then singled to left field scoring Hudson. Hunt would advance to third on the throw and Daniels would advance to second. Kirby would hit a ground ball toward the shortstop, but McKinley was called out for contacting the defender. With one out and Gonzalez running for Kirby, Gonzalez was thrown out trying to steal second; however, Hunt would score from third on the play.  At the end of two innings Pampa led 5-0.

In the third inning and one out, back-to-back walks to Cassidy Stanhope and Gallegos put two runners on. Stanhope and Gallegos would eventually both score on wild pitches. After three innings Pampa was on top 7-0.

In the bottom of the fourth, Pampa would score three more runs. Kirby doubled to lead off the inning and then Briley Daniels singled to left field scoring Gonzalez who again was running for Kirby. The ball got between the legs of the left fielder and Daniels would get to third base. Daniels would eventually score on a wild pitch. Then with two outs, Stanhope walked and would end up on third base after a wild pitch. Gallegos then singled to score Stanhope to complete the scoring.

Game Stats:

Kirby went the distance in the circle, going five innings, giving up no runs on two hits, striking out eleven and walking two.

Offensively, Hunt was 2-2 with an RBI and two runs scored, McKinley Daniels was 1-2 with an RBI, Kirby was 1-2, Briley Daniels was 2-2 with an RBI and a run scored, Dyer was 1-3 with an RBI and Gallegos was 1-2, with an RBI and two runs scored. 

Other District Action:

In other action, Dumas defeated Perryton 29-3, and West Plains defeated Hereford 12-2. Randall/Canyon was moved to Wednesday. The current standings are:
