Larry Parker, 82, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his home in Pampa.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jamisen Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Larry was born May 26, 1941 in Wheeler to Claude and Blanche Parker. He graduated from Allison High School in 1959. Larry has been a Pampa resident since 1963. He married Judy Brock when he was in his early 20’s. Larry later married Julia Bailey on June 26, 1984 in Pampa. He worked at Moody Farms for 18 years as Mill Manager before going to work at WO Operating Company, retiring as a pumper for over 20 years. Larry was a member of Briarwood Church and loved the Lord. He had a passion for helping his children and others with livestock and agriculture where he was involved in FFA and 4-H. He enjoyed livestock shows and rodeos over the years and he loved his vegetable garden. Larry was a true family man; he loved his family and was always willing to help in anyway.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Parker of the home; daughter, Sabrina Adams of Clarendon; three sons, Brock Parker, John Forbes and Cherie Duke, and Alan Parker and wife Caryn all of Pampa; sister, Linda Bates of Elgin, Oklahoma; he was Grandpa to his six grandchildren, Steven Wortham and wife Annie, Jordan Crump and husband Dustin, Dillon Forbes, Lily Forbes, Weston Parker, and Morgan Parker; six great grandchildren, Ella Wortham, Easton Wortham, Kendall Wortham, Eidynn Whetstone, Tobias Whetstone, and Mercy Whetstone.
