Linda Sue Bench of Pampa passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 in Pampa at the age of 82 years 11 months and 6 days.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joseph Vallejos, of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors in Shamrock, TX.
Linda was born October 5, 1940 in Yuma, AZ to Elmer Lee Francis and Martha Louise Hanes Francis. Linda was raised in Lela and attended Lela schools she had lived in Pampa since 1979.
Linda was a housewife and a great seamstress. She made wedding dresses, school uniforms, custom suits, quilts and many things for the public. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, ceramics and she loved traveling to craft shows, making many friends along the way.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eula and Emmitt O. Bench; 4 brothers, James Richard Francis, Raymond Charles Francis, Edward Claude Francis and Buster Joe Francis; 1 sister, Margireen Childress and an uncle, Adell Hanes.
She is survived by her husband Olen Bench of Pampa; 2 daughters Sherry Bench Garcia of Dallas and Cyndy Tomaschik and husband Jerry of Pampa; 3 sons Tim and Judy Allen of Fairfield, TX; Ray Bench of Pampa and Carlton Bench of Pampa; 9 grandchildren, Kevin, Shelby, Wesley, Montanya, Rachel, Nicole, Mathew, Lucas, and Maggie; 7 Great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her caregiver, Alice Frazier.
