Lloyd Jackson Wolfe

Lloyd Jackson Wolfe, 77, of Pampa, lost his long battle with heart disease, April 23, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Lloyd was born to Robert and Joy Wolfe, in Lawton, Oklahoma on January 11, 1945.

Lloyd married the love of his life Betty Jane Doan, on February 22, 1966, and shortly thereafter was drafted into the US Army, serving active duty in Viet Nam war. He was a proud patriot and had a deep love and appreciation for his country. He left the service in 1968 and began working in various aspects of the oilfield. He worked as a mechanic, truck driver, and prior to retirement was self-employed.

If you needed to visit Lloyd, he could be found at any place you could drop a line to fish!  He loved fishing and would be at the lake and camping at every available opportunity. It was the only time you could find him being still, when not working or fishing, he would be tinkering on old cars or another project. Keeping a beautiful yard and garden occupied a lot of his time as well. Lloyd was also an active member of the Mary Ellen Harvester Church of Christ. His big personality let everyone know he was in the room, and he never met a stranger and would always find common ground to carry on a friendly conversation.

Preceding him in death were parents, Robert Wolfe and Joy Smith; a son, Brandon Wolfe, and brothers, Robert C. Wolfe Jr., and David Kerr.

Left to cherish the memories of Lloyd, are his wife Betty, of the home, three sons, Marcus Wolfe and wife Cheryl of Farmington, New Mexico; Christopher Wolfe and wife Brandie of La Pine, Oregon; Zachery Wolfe and wife Jeni of Pampa, Texas. Five adored grandchildren, Lyndon Wolfe and wife Katie of Grand Haven, Michigan, Brittany Mayhue and husband Dusty of Boyd, Texas, Cydnee Wolfe and Jesus Becerra of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stormy Lapahie and husband Zack of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Chyana Conniff and husband Brodrick of Farmington, New Mexico. Six great-grandchildren, DustiLynn Mayhue, Sarah Mayhue, Paisley Wolfe, Brandon Wolfe, Orian Wolfe, Snowy Lapahie, Chesaray Conniff. He also leaves behind his brother Earl Kerr, Jr. of Pampa; sister, Mary Lindsey and husband Allen of Clio, Alabama as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum. Family friend Dale Meadows will officiate. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

The family requests that if donations are preferred, they be made to Mary Ellen Harvester Church of Christ, 1342 N Mary Ellen St, Pampa, TX 79065 or to your favorite charity in honor of Lloyd.
