Mark Cradduck

Mark Cradduck, 75, of Pampa, passed away peacefully at his home on November 15, 2021.

Services are pending with Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Mark was born August 30, 1946 in Pampa to Harold and Willadean Cradduck.  He graduated from Pampa High School in 1964. Mark graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Hardin Simmons University on a ROTC Scholarship.  After college graduation he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army.  He served his country faithfully in Vietnam from 1969 to 1972.  Mark earned the rank of Captain when he was discharged.  In 1976, he married the love of his life, Becky Fields.  They met at choir practice at church, and they married on February 20, 1976 in Tulsa. They lived in Tulsa and Valdez, Alaska before moving back to Pampa in 1995.  He worked in the Oil and Gas pipeline industry as a scheduler and operations controller for many years.  In 1996, Mark started working for Pampa High School as a history teacher and retired in 2010.  Mark was very crafty and enjoyed building things, he also was an accomplished auto mechanic.  He had a love for his Model A car, horses, and hunting.  Mark also enjoyed poetry, studying history, music, and a good cigar. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Mixed Adult Sunday School Class.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Becky Cradduck of the home; 2 sons, Hugh Cradduck and wife Jennifer of Oxford, OH and Garrett Cradduck and wife Amy of Huntsville; sister, Gail Anderson and husband Ronnie of Pampa; 6 grandchildren, Harrison Cradduck, Dean Cradduck, Clara Cradduck all of Oxford, OH, John Cradduck, Ainsley Cradduck, and Henry Cradduck all of Huntsville.
