Maurine N. Glover, 86, of Pampa, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Pampa.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Joel Osborne, of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Maurine was born on February 8, 1936 in Bowie to Jesse Nunley and Lizzie Goodson Nunley. She grew up all over the state of Texas. Maurine married Harold Dean Glover on March 29, 1952 in Jacksboro. He preceded her in death in 1999. After they were married Maurine and Harold continued to move all over before settling down in Pampa in 1978. Maurine worked at Walmart for 30 years first in the shoe department then as the district manager in the jewelry department. During her time as the district manager, she traveled to many different places for her work. Maurine later worked as a nanny for the Collins family for 18 years before she retired. She enjoyed her time with the children and considered them family. Maurine was raised in the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed cooking and feeding her family. Maurine always had a smile on her face even when she was going through a difficult time.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Lizzie Nunley; her husband, Harold Dean Glover; one son, Gary Glover; her sister, Shirley King; her brother, Howard Nunley; her sister-in-law, Ola May Nunley; her brother-in-law, Paul King; and one nephew, Paul Nunley.

Maurine is survived by her three sons, Rick Glover and Mark Glover both of Pampa, and Benny Glover of San Antonio; her adopted family, Cheyenne, Latigo, Reata, Ken, and Marvelle Collins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
