It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Millicent Fatheree, affectionately known to many as Millie, who left this world peacefully at her home on November 2nd, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on June 25, 1959, in Pampa, Texas, Millie was the beloved daughter of Ann Fatheree and the late Hobie Fatheree.
Millie was a beacon of joy, known for her infectious laughter and quick wit that could fill any room with smiles. She was a loving mother, a devoted daughter, and a cherished friend to many. Her intelligence and kindness were as remarkable as her ability to make others feel loved and appreciated.
A proud graduate of Pampa High School in 1977, Millie went on to earn her degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 1981. During her time at Texas A&M, she was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Delta Omega chapter, where she formed lifelong friendships. Millie’s love for music was evident from her high school days when she played the saxophone in the school band.
Millie’s career path led her to teaching, where she impacted the lives of many young students. Later, she dedicated herself to being a full-time stay-at-home mom, a role she embraced with immense joy and love.
Her passion for animals was well-known, with a particular fondness for horses, dogs, and cats. Millie was also a creative soul who found joy in art and music, enriching the lives of those around her with her talents.
Millie served God as a devout member of the St. Barnabas Episcopal church in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was also a member of the Daughters of the King. Millie loved Jesus and her life showed that love.
Millie is survived by her two loving daughters, Sarah and Allie Marchman, who will continue to honor her memory and the values she instilled in them. Her father, Hobie Fatheree, predeceased her, and she is survived by her devoted mother, Ann Fatheree and her sister Sarah (John) Jarrett, Matt (Lori) Fatheree, and Tim (Sue) Fatheree and her many nieces and nephews and their children.
