Three juveniles were killed in an overnight wreck east of White Deer Monday.
Two juveniles from White Deer (a 13 and 12-year old) and two from Pampa (two 13-year-olds) were in a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pick-up traveling north on County Road 1 at about 2:15 a.m. Monday.
The vehicle approached the “S” curve on CR1 where it intersects with County Road L. Texas DPS reports that due to the truck’s high rate of speed, the driver was unable to navigate the curve.
The truck started to side skid into the grassy area between County Road 1 and County Road L, where it began to roll over.
The truck rolled over multiple times through the grassy area, over CR L, and into a pasture north of County Road L, where it came to rest.
Three of the unsecured juveniles were ejected from the vehicle. The driver has not yet been determined as the crash remains under investigation.
Three of the juveniles were pronounced deceased at the scene, the fourth (one of the Pampa residents) was transported to Pampa Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Information may change, be corrected, or added based on the investigator’s findings.
