Pampa FFA competes in State contests


Three Pampa FFA Career Development Events (CDE - judging) teams braved the wind and a dust storm while traveling to Lubbock last Friday (22nd) to compete at the State FFA CDE Contests held at Texas Tech University. The three judging teams consisted of Horse, Cotton and Plant ID teams. Members included: Horse – Rebecca Scott, Alexis Bridges, Saige Owen, Clay Snapp and Karter Fahsholtz; Cotton – Mason Childress, Truett Flood and Ryan Domina; Plant ID – Samuel Perez, Kaylee Wilhite and Janelle Jimenez. In addition, four members traveled to Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge near Umbarger on the 12th of April to compete in the Area 1 Range and Wildlife CDE Contest. Students learned to how to identify different types of plants, wildlife and determine the value of land for wildlife uses. Team member include: Rebecca Scott, Clay Snapp, Alexis Bridges and Karter Fahsholtz.
