Seeing clearly

Posted

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

I don’t understand all that is taking place at this time. With the things that Ukraine is facing as Russia comes against them it has to be overwhelming for them. I can’t even imagine how the people are feeling at this time.

I’ve seen pictures of children huddled together and adults holding on to each other. I’ve seen pictures of the devastation that Russia has caused as they have invaded Ukraine. Yet in the midst of it all there is hope.

I’ve seen clips of Christians singing and sharing the hope of Jesus in the midst of all that is taking place. I’ve seen pastors praying over people and for the trials that the country is facing at this time. In the midst of these times, God’s people are standing to show the way to Jesus.

This past week my sister, Kathy, sent out two pictures in our group text. The first picture was taken through her front door. Because of the type of glass in the door you could only see a bit of light. Underneath she put – “For now we see in a mirror dimly…”

The second picture was taken through their open front door. It was of the beautiful rising sun. Underneath it she put – “but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.” 1 Cor. 13:12

I know that in the midst of all that is taking place, we may not be able to see clearly all that is taking place and we only ‘know in part’. We don’t know the minds and hearts of all those that are being impacted at this time. Yet the time will come when it will be revealed to us and we will ‘know fully, even as we have been fully known.”

So in the midst of all the struggles you may experience or all the things that we may be confronted with in this life hold on to Jesus. He is our hope and truly the One we can trust to bring us through all we face in this old world.

In Romans 8:24-25 Paul wrote – 24 “For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.”

You may not see it clearly now, but one day in Christ, face to face you will know fully even as you have been fully known. Place your trust in Him!

JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, there IS something about that name!!

Christ only, always,

Bro. Paul
