Stella Lee Irwin
Stella Lee Irwin, 72, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother left us to be with her Lord and Savior July 28, 2023. Lee was born April 28, 1951, to Tommy and Evaughn Bowermon. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1969, where she was head cheerleader. She went on to study at Texas Tech University where she met her husband of 48 years, James Irwin. James and Lee raised three children and Lee dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home wife and mom. She never missed an opportunity or event to support her family. She was at every birthday party, sporting event, dance recital, and banquet. Her dedication to her husband and children was unwavering. She was an “unpaid” employee of Irwin Steel for years while her children were growing up. Her support for James allowed him to work every day to provide for their family. Later in life, she went to work as the production control manager for Irwin Steel before retiring in 2020.
Those who know Lee will remember her for her kindness and her unconditional love for her family. She had a very generous heart and volunteered with many organizations over the years including CASA of Denton County, Meals on Wheels, The Trophy Club Women’s Club, and GRACE of Grapevine. She was a supportive, wonderful wife and mother and an even better grandmother. She created a special bond with each of her grandchildren. Her grandbabies were her world. Her face lit up for every one of them. She was so proud to be their Grandma and Memaw. She had the most beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Every one of her grandchildren thought she hung the moon.
Lee is survived by husband James, son Bryan and wife Jennifer, daughter Amy, and husband Jason and daughter Jessica. Grandchildren Lane and fiancé Abby, Maddison, Ashton, Peyton, Jordan, Jaylynn, Jayden, Rylee, and Kayden.
Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Evaughn Bowermon and mother and father-in-law Lofflin and Doris Irwin, and grandson Jackson Robert Paige.
A visitation for Lee will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Bowden Events and Weddings Venue, 1775 Keller Pkwy, Keller, TX 76248. The family would like to invite everyone to join us for lunch immediately following the service.
