Pampa, TX (February 12, 2024): Every day, thousands of guests visit one of the Toot’n Totum’s locations across our area, and it’s those guests who pulled together to raise more than $140,000 for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign this past holiday season.
“We want to be clear, it was our guests—the generous people of Amarillo, Lubbock and the Tri-State area--who raised this money,” Andrew Mitchell, CEO, of Toot’n Totum said. “It’s a reminder of how generous our area is and how they’re always willing to go above and beyond to help their neighbors. We’re thankful to have been able to play a role in such a big donation”
The donations, which totaled $144,698.92, were raised through Toot’n Totum’s first-ever “round-up” campaign, “Change for the Better.” The campaign allowed guests at Toot’n Totum’s 95 convenience stores to round their ticket up to the nearest whole dollar, with the additional amount benefiting the Red Kettle campaign. The campaign ran from November 10th to December 31st, igniting a tide of generosity.
The donations will be distributed by region to each Salvation Army chapter based upon the donation location. On February 12th at 9:00 a.m., please join us in presenting a check at the Pampa Toot’n Totum location to the area Salvation Army.
“It’s amazing how just a little pocket change here and there can add up,” Shelby Huff, Region Representative with the Salvation Army said. “The generosity of Toot’n Totum customers is a true testament to the giving spirt of the Panhandle,” said Huff.
The Salvation Army provides assistance to families and individuals experiencing life crisis through the provision of utility assistance, rental assistance, transportation aid and prescription assistance.
“Gifts like this make our mission possible and give us the ability to keep our promise of Doing The Most Good, to serve the most people, in the most need,” Huff noted. “We are so grateful that Toot’n Totum chose to come alongside The Salvation Army to make an impact and further allow us to help so many hurting people right here in Pampa and the surrounding area.”
