This year, Jana Vinson is warmly welcoming guests into her home for the 28th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes by the Twentieth Century Cotillion Study Club.
Located at 2548 Chestnut, the gorgeous spacious home is adorned with Christmas decorations that perfectly accentuate the style and atmosphere of its interior.
When Jana moved into the home in 2022 after purchasing it from Mrs. Virginia Carmichael, she immediately got to work on renovations that suited her own taste. With many updates made to the flooring, walls, countertops and fixtures throughout the home, Jana brought her vision to life.
For Christmas this year, Jana wanted to make sure that the decorations were subtle, simple and elegant. With the help of Brandon’s Flowers, every room in the home features pieces that match the various shades of blue seen in the wallpaper throughout the house, from beautiful floral arrangements to small designer Christmas trees placed and positioned in just the right spaces.
“I told them (Brandon’s Flowers) I want my house to be the focus, I don’t want the decorations to overpower my house,” Jana said. “I think they did a great job of doing that. They used things throughout the house so you’ll see the same pieces and a few different variations in different places.”
The living room features a big Christmas tree adorned in blue, white and gold, but it’s the tree in Jana’s bedroom that holds a ton of sentimentality.
“That’s my memory tree. It has all the ornaments that my girls made and we’ve collected during vacations over the years. It’s really special for me.”
Jana is excited to share her home and perhaps provide some inspiration for those new home owners who are looking for ideas on how to turn their house into a home.
The tour will be from 2 to 5 PM this Sunday, December 15 and is $20 at the door. All proceeds go toward The Opportunity Plan, Inc, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide financial assistance to students in post-secondary educational programs.
