Looking for the perfect cake for that special moment? Brushstrokes & Buttercream has got you covered.

Pampa local and mother of three wonderful children, Meghan Dyer, began her bakery business in 2019.

Dyer explained where her love of baking came from.

“I grew up with my dad and aunt teaching me how to bake,” Dyer said. “It’s something we always did together.”

Originating from humble beginnings, Brushstrokes & Buttercream is a one-woman business that provides a variety of sweets for any occasion. Once she started making birthday cakes for her kids, Dyer soon found herself making cakes for family functions. That soon blossomed into multiple customers ordering from her.

From custom wedding cakes to delicious buttercream-frosted sugar cookies, Dyer can bake it all.

“I sell cupcakes, custom cakes for any event, and cookies,” Dyer said. “The chocolate chip cookies and buttercream frosted sugar cookies are my most popular sweets.”

In addition to cakes, Dyer also has seasonal-based promotions. For Father’s Day, Brushstrokes & Buttercream has a specialty cake that Dad is sure to love, a grill-themed cake! Adorned with edible hot dog and hamburger designs, this cake is sure to be a treat.

With four years of being in business, Dyer reminisced upon some of her memorable cake requests.

“I made a cake that was shaped like a chicken,” Dyer said. “Someone ordered a birthday cake from me and sent me a picture of their pet chicken. They asked me if I could make their cake look like that and I said yes. That was really fun.”

Dyer expressed her appreciation for those who have supported her and her business.

“I want to thank my dad, Raymond Asencio, and my aunt, Cecilia Silva,  for being my biggest inspiration,” Dyer said. “ When I started, they would recommend my business people and helped me get my name out there.”
