Father’s Day is approaching, and needless to say, dads are somewhat difficult to buy for. The Freedom Museum still has plenty of space on our Veterans Walkway, and a brick for that special dad/veteran will make an excellent gift. He served his country with honor and pride, and honoring him on his special day is entirely fitting and proper.
There are approximately 1,200 plus veterans here in Gray County and many more in the surrounding area, however we have noticed there are not that many Afghanistan and Iraq veterans on the walkway. We will be proud to add their names to our Walkway of Honor.
For information, call the museum at 806-669-6066 between the hours of noon and 4 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. As in the past, it may take a little time to get enough applicants to get the bricks engraved and laid. The good news is that the monument company has very graciously maintained the original price even though we all know everything has gone up over these last few years.
Add that special veteran’s name to a very special project here in Pampa.
