The Lovett Memorial Library has two available positions, Vice-President and Secretary for the Library Board. The 5 member Library Board serves as the advising position on overall library policy and provides promotional efforts on behalf of the library.
The Library Board meets from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. quarterly on the second Monday of January, April, July, and October unless notified of a change.
Misty Guy, the Lovett Memorial Library Director, gave insight into the responsibility the Library Board has.
“Normally, I bring policies to the Board and they read over it,” Guy said. “If needed, the Board will then present the policies to the City Commission members.”
There is no deadline to apply for the Library Board. The only list of requirements is: board members either must live within the city limit of Pampa or live within Gray County limits.
