Community Christian School Celebrates School Choice Week

Posted

Last week, the Community Christian School in Pampa celebrated National School Choice Week where students shared why they love CCS and had fun dress up days to show their school spirit.

While Monday was scheduled to be white or blackout day, all the students and staff wore red and pink to show their love and support over the tragic passing of Serenity Campos from Borger.

On Tuesday the students dressed up like their teachers and the teachers dressed like the students, Wednesday was animal print, Thursday was Tye Dye day and Friday was Crazy Hair Day.

The students shared why they love CCS and the most common reasons were the nice teachers, their friends and learning about Jesus.

Community Christian School was given the Leadership Award in ‘recognition of the awardee’s dedication to inspiring and motivating students to reach their fullest potential,’ by the president of the National School Choice Week Foundation, Andrew R. Campanella.

“Every January, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on the K-12 education options for children and families, including traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, online learning, homeschooling, and nontraditional education environments.”

CCS falls under the private school category and utilizes faith and discipleship in their core teachings along with academic excellence that is tailor-suited for each child.

The small class sizes allow educators to fully invest in each of their student’s needs while promoting critical thinking skills as well as highlighting individual talents among the students.

The pre-K and kindergarten classes promote school readiness through hands on learning experiences in a structured and nurturing environment, covering phonics, math and science.

Students in grades 1-5 focus on literacy, math, science and history, as well as receive a strong foundation in character development, the Bible, art and technology.

CCS believes that having a firm foundation of faith, academic excellence, and support from home all work hand-in-hand to best help a child reach their full potential and leave a positive impact in the world.
