Located at the Highland Plaza at 601 W. Kentucky is a little blue stand serving up some fantastic sweet drinks and treats to help you cool off during those infamous Texas heat waves.
Frosty’s Shaved Ice is locally owned and operated by Stephanie and Raney Bradley, former Pampa High School graduates who have come back to their hometown, bringing along with them a business that is tremendously popular throughout the year and people just can’t get enough of.
“We are a family-owned mobile shaved ice and snow cone stand who has come back home to help serve our community and bring something that is really neat and fun,” said Stephanie. “This was actually my husband’s idea. He worked at a snow cone stand here in Pampa when he was in high school and thought it was so much fun and has always wanted to open up something like that. We just started kind of talking about the different ways we could have some fun and do something that was a little bit different, so we decided to bring it back.”
Frosty’s has plenty on their menu to keep customers creative with how they build their snow cones with 48 different flavors to choose from, ranging from classic fruity flavors to unique concoctions such as the ‘Toxic Waste’ flavor. Their signature flavor is the ‘Firecracker’, a mix of cherry, creamy coconut and blue coconut, topped with whipped cream and Poprocks. They also have a variety of dirty sodas that customers can customize and play with.
“A dirty soda is a soda like Coke or Dr. Pepper that you can put flavors into like vanilla or cherry and then you add creamer and it tastes like a float. My personal favorite is the cherry bomb or the A&W float.”
Unlike many different mobile food and drink trucks and stands, Frosty’s will remain in the same place so new and returning customers won’t have to worry about missing out, and if anyone has a special event or celebration, Frosty’s would be happy to make an appearance.
“We’re mainly going to be in the Pampa area, but if someone wanted us to go to a specific place, we are mobile so we have the ability to go where we’re needed. But for the most part, we will stay right here in Pampa. If there are birthday parties, events or anything like that, we may change our location. We will be out at the Fourth of July Celebration out at the park, so we’re super excited about that.”
Frosty’s will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to however late they decide to stay open, but be sure to check out their Facebook page, Frosty’s Shaved Ice - Pampa for hours and menu updates.
“Come see us! Our motto is ‘We Bring the Chill, and we’re here to serve and really excited to be here!”
