Put on your cowboy boots and get ready to mosey on over to Macedonia First Baptist Church’s Western Gala!
Look forward to having a rootin’ tootin’ time on June 30th at 7:00 pm at the Pampa Chamber of Commerce.
Bernadine Smith, the Administrator for Macedonia First Baptist Church, and her husband, Pastor Wesly Smith, have been a part of the ministry for 14 years.
While Macedonia First Baptist Church has hosted galas throughout the years, this will be the first time the church has hosted a Western-themed gala. Smith expressed her excitement for the event.
“We decided to have a western extravaganza this month,” Smith said. “It’ll be a great time of food, fun, and fellowship.”
The event hall will be decorated head-to-toe in Western-themed decorations. Attendees can expect delicious smoked meat and yummy dessert. As well, the church has gathered plenty of prizes to give out.
“We have received numerous donations from Amarillo restaurants,” Smith said. “People can win free meals or gift cards to places like Texas Roadhouse, Cheddars, Red Lobster, or Abuelo’s.”
In addition to winning these prizes, the church will also give a prize to the person who shows up in the best Western outfit.
Tickets for the Western Gala are $25.00 per person. Tickets can be purchased from members of Macedonia First Baptist Church and be sold at the door.
Smith expressed her sincerest appreciation for the support the church has received from the Pampa community.
“We are in the process of getting our fellowship hall rebuilt and we would like to thank the mayor, representatives, and community for helping us out,” Smith said. “We’d also like to thank the church community of Pampa. We are all in this together, we all try to do what we can, and they have always been supportive of us.”
