Hoop, There It Is!

Get the hoop on the upcoming Boots versus Badges Charity Basketball Game.

In this year’s game, the Pampa Firefighters Association will face off against the Pampa Police Department, the Gray County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety on the court to benefit local charities.

Ethan Mollet, a Pampa Firefighter, Active Board Member for the Pampa Firefighters Association, and Head of the Committee of the Boots versus Badges Basketball game, gave more insight behind the fundraising event.

“We have hosted charity basketball games before,” Mollet said. “In the past, we have involved neighboring fire departments like the Hoover Volunteer Fire Department.”

The charity basketball game will be held on April 22nd at 12:00 pm in the Pampa High School CAV.

The basketball game is free entry with options for additional donations located at the entrance table. As well, the proceeds from food and raffle tickets sold at the game will be donated to the chosen local charities. Raffle prizes will be awarded during halftime.

Each party has chosen a local non-profit organization to give their proceedes to.
