JC Skinner Appointed Sheriff in Special Commissioners Meeting

Posted

The Gray County Commissioners held a special meeting on Monday, October 27, beginning with executing the tax abatement agreement and the road use agreement for a data center between Gray County and Intersect Power that was approved during the October 15th meeting.

The final order of business was to discuss and consider an appointment to fill the vacancy of the Office of the Gray County Sheriff after Sheriff Michael Ryan’s untimely passing.

Judge Chris Porter suggested appointing Chief Deputy JC Skinner as Gray County’s Sheriff, and with no further discussion or any opposition from the commissioners, they unanimously voted to approve the appointment, with Judge Porter swearing in JC to the role.

JC’s family, friends, and co-workers were all present to witness the ceremony and take photos with the newly-elected sheriff.

Congratulations to JC and best of luck on your journey!
