Lady Harvesters Fall to Hereford 7-2

The Pampa Lady Harvesters fell to undefeated Hereford by a score of 7-2 to drop their district record to 3-1.  Hereford improves to 3-0 in district and sits alone in first place. 

Pampa got on the board first in the bottom of the bottom of the 3rd inning.  With the score tied at zero, McKinley Daniels hit a one-out triple.  With two outs, Kynleigh Kirby singled to score Daniels from third base. With Hadlie Gonzalez courtesy running for Kirby, Cassidy Stanhope would single to left field putting runners at first and second base.  Cambree Dyer would then single up the middle to score Gonalez from second base, making the score 2-0 Pampa after three innings.

However, Hereford would tie it at two in the top of the fourth and then put the game away with five runs in the top of the fifth inning.  Pampa was unable to mount any kind rally and ended up falling by the final score of 7-2.

Pampa will be back in action on Tuesday, March 19 at home vs Borger and then will host Canyon on Friday, March 22. Both games are scheduled for 4:30 P.M.   

Game Stats:

McKinley Daniels and Cambree Dyer had two hits each, Briley Daniels, Kirby and Stanhope would add one hit each for Pampa. 

Other District Action:

In other district action, Randall beat Dumas 13-2 and West Plains beat Canyon by a score of 8-6.

Hereford sits alone at the top of the district with a 3-0 record. They will face Dumas later this week. Pampa sits in second place at 3-1. Borger and West Plains are tied for 3rd place at 2-1. Borger takes on Canyon Saturday and West Plains takes on Randall Saturday. Canyon, Randall and Canyon are sitting at 1-2 and Perryton sits at 0-4.
