The Lighting Up the Bricks is always a much-anticipated event that kicks off the holidays in a bright and colorful way.
Residents from Pampa, and a few from surrounding areas, flock to the red bricks for a night of local shopping and festive fun after the sun has gone down and the illuminated store fronts guide the way.
But the event also brought 14 organizations participating in the Panhandle Gives under one roof at The Well STEAM & Literacy Center, giving folks the opportunity to sit down with the directors and organizers and obtain more information on what their organization is all about and how they can help donate during the annual week-long event.
The organizations involved this year are: CASA of the High Plains, Friends of the Library, Altrusa International, Pampa, Snack Pak 4 Kids, Pregnancy Support Center & Hope House, The Salvation Army, Pampa Senior Citizens, White Deer Land Museum, The Well STEAM & Literacy Center, GrayCares, Pampa Education Foundation, PAWS, Meals on Wheels and Tralee Crisis Center for Women.
The Panhandle Gives event begins on the Monday before Thanksgiving and ends on Giving Tuesday, the global day of giving. This year the dates are November 25 through December 3.
