Long John Silver’s, the quick-service chain that believes the unique seafood experience from the coasts should be available to all, opened its Amarillo location at 4406 Bell Street on Friday, August 1.
Serving your Long John Silver’s favorites, guests are invited to sail by for dine-in or drive-thru, or anchor down at home and place an order for delivery. Skip the line and order ahead through the Long John Silver’s mobile app or by visiting www.ljsilvers.com.
The opening day celebration began at 10 AM when the location officially opened for guest orders.
Guests can indulge in classics including hand-battered fish, chicken, and shrimp, along with hushpuppies, crispy waffle fries, and our signature Crumblies.
Don’t forget about the seafood bowls, tacos, and meals featuring grilled shrimp and salmon.
Throughout the day, guests can score Long John Silver’s swag available while supplies last.
This marks an exciting new chapter for Long John Silver’s as it returns to Amarillo. Construction on the new location first began in March 2025, receiving a joyous response from the community.
Behind the Bell Steet rstaurant is Splash Foods, LLC., led by Denis Schoenhofer, and partners James Bryan and Randy Burnett.
Schoenhofer has deep roots in the region’s quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry, owning and operating 22 KFC restaurants across the Southwest including six in Amarillo. This is the team’s first Long John Silver’s location, and there are already plans underway for more locations.
“Since announcing the opening of the restaurant, we received a tremendous response from the community,” Said Schoenhofer. “It is an honor to bring a beloved brand back to Amarillo. We view this opening as an important part of our legacy in the QSR industry and see a clear opportunity for growth with the Long John Silver’s brand.”
The Amarillo restaurant reflects Long John Silver’s modernized restaurant image, incorporating a clean, vibrant design with nods to the company’s love of the sea. The space features digital menu boards and guest-centric elements designed to enhance the dining and takeout experience.
“Our guests were a top priority throughout the construction process,” said Leigh Ann VanDam, vice president of design and development at Long John Silver’s. “We selected every element of the Amarillo location with the guest experience top of mind, from the restaurant design to new technology and operational features. We know our Amarillo location will have you eager to plan your next visit.”
The Bell Street location will operate from 10 AM to 10 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 10 AM to 11 PM Friday through Saturday.
