Mary Lanora Abbott Ripple, 80, of Pampa, passed away on February 3, 2024, in Texhoma, Texas with her family by her side.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ with Keith Feerer, a retired Church of Christ minister, officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Mary was born on May 17, 1943, in Pampa to Jessie Russell Abbott and Hazel Lavera Cook Abbott.
She grew up in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1961.
She married Hospital Corpsman William “Bill” Ripple in 1964.
They traveled to several parts of the country until he retired in 1981 and then they returned to Pampa.
Bill would precede her in death in 2007.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband.
Mary is survived by a son, Lance Ripple; a daughter, Sharon Mahaffey and husband Sam of Texhoma, Texas; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Holt of Arkansas, Mary Jo Conrade and husband Christian of Goodwell, Oklahoma, and Jessie Mahaffey of Texhoma, Texas; five greatgrandchildren, Rainy, Sunny, Aubrey, Cheyenne, and Brody; a brother, Glenn Abbott and wife Karen of Abilene; a sister, Jean Hicks of San Antonio; an aunt, Peggy Abbott of College Station; and other extended family.
