McLean, TX – Parkway Ford of Pampa, Texas, is proud to announce that Kasidy Russell, a senior varsity basketball athlete at McLean High School, has been selected as the December 2024 Greater Texas Ford Dealers 1A Classification Female Athlete of the Month. The recognition is part of an ongoing program that honors outstanding female student-athletes across the Greater Texas market area for their excellence on the field, in the classroom, and within the community.
Russell has been a standout performer this season, continuing her dominance under the guidance of new head coach Jordan Parsons. She has led the Lady Tigers to an undefeated 4-0 start in district play, while approaching a career milestone of 1,800 points. Averaging 24.7 points, 5.1 assists, 7.8 rebounds, 4.9 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game, she has solidified herself as one of the top 1A scorers in the state. As the only senior on the team, she has embraced her leadership role, mentoring younger players while playing with confidence and composure. Kasidy will continue her basketball career at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
The Lady Tigers have had an exceptional season, showcasing their strength and determination under Coach Parsons’ leadership. Their undefeated district record highlights their teamwork, resilience, and skill, making them a formidable force in 1A competition.
As part of this honor, two trophies were awarded—one for Kasidy and one for McLean High School.
The event was truly special as Mike Lane, our Service Director, who is also a McLean High School alumnus, had the opportunity to return to his alma mater. He was able to reminisce about his glory days as an all-star athlete, sharing stories with the students and faculty while celebrating Kasidy’s achievements. His presence made the event more meaningful, reinforcing Parkway Ford’s deep ties to the local community.
