Midnight Vanity: One Stop Shop for Beauty, Individuality, and Confidence

Posted

‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ but let’s be honest..you are the first beholder. To radiate confidence is a thing of beauty, and to be able to personalize our beauty through the means of “embellishing our temples”, whether by getting a tattoo that speaks to who you are and what you love, or finally getting that hairstyle and color you’ve put off for far too long, or obtaining that silky smooth skin that leaves you looking (and feeling) flawless-these things can make a world of difference in how we view ourselves. And of course I’m speaking from personal experience!

But it takes people, experts in their field, to help us reach that level of confidence, and at Midnight Vanity, those experts are ready and waiting for your call.

Three best friends had a dream to open a shop that allowed their individual talents to shine, and to bring happiness to clients by exceeding their expectations. Alla Cortez, Lori Presson, and Kayleen Waldrop waited for the perfect opportunity (and place) to set up shop, and just a few months ago, their dream would finally come to fruition.

“Our dream was to have a shop together, and Alla was driving around and saw this space for rent,” Lori said.

“The whole goal was this right here,” Kayleen said.

After weeks of deep cleaning and renovations, Midnight Vanity would officially open their doors right in the heart of downtown Pampa.

“Sugaring is an all-natural hair removal using sugar, lemon and water. It’s never hot, so it doesn’t burn. I take hair out in the direction of the hair growth so that it’s not as damaging to the skin. There’s no harsh chemicals or anything that is going near your skin. This is a very technical formula, and the sugar that I use is actually made in a controlled factory. I buy it and it’s FDA approved and regulated. There are people who try to do this themselves, but I have been trained and it’s taken me a long time to get where I am. I have a very specific technique. It’s more than just taking hair out-there’s so much more to it. I specialize in Brazilians as well-I actually have two master classes under my belt for that.”

“I just graduated back in May from Clarendon College here in Pampa. I mostly specialize in hair colors, but I want to learn how to do it all. I’m just starting out, but I’m excited for this journey.”

“I’ve been doing permanent makeup for four years and tattooing full-time for two years. I do machine brows where I can do nano brush strokes with the machine to make them look more realistic and I also do eyeliner. For eyeliner, most people come back every five years to refresh the color and every one to two years for the eyebrows, so it lasts for a long time. For tattoos, I enjoy doing fine-line and floral. I like the more feminine and girly pieces, and a lot of color.”

“I’ve been doing hair for 16 years. I worked at a salon for seven years, but after I had my son, I took off for seven years. But even though I wasn’t working for a salon anymore, I still did hair at my house where many of my regular clients would come by and I just did it right there in my home.”

Midnight Vanity has a couple of empty stations that they would love to fill with other licensed beauty technicians that are confident in their craft and would like to join the Midnight Vanity family.

Kayleen, Sergio, Alla and Lori are all dedicating their time, energy, and focus on this dream, and their obligations lie solely with their clients, so rest assured that your satisfaction and happiness will always be their main priority. They are all very excited to embark on this new journey together and are ready to get your appointments booked!

“We’re very thankful and blessed that this happened,” Lori said.

“We’re just happy to be here and ready to serve Pampa!” Alla said, Kayleen, Sergio, and Lori all in enthusiastic agreement.

All services are by appointment, but visit the shop anytime at 115 W. Kingsmill.
