Newly Appointed County Court Coordinator, Angie Smith, Welcomed to First Commissioners Meeting

On Friday, February 14, Judge Porter and the county commissioners held their bi-monthly meeting with newly appointed Court Coordinator, Angie Smith, sitting in on her first commissioners meeting. She was welcomed by Judge Porter and the commissioners and wished her many happy years within the courthouse.

The first items on the agenda included approving the minutes of the previous agenda, paying the bills as presented by the County Auditor, considering any line-item transfers or budget amendments, accepting the County Treasurer’s monthly report and accepting the County Clerk’s monthly report; all were accepted and approved.

Next was to consider appointing Dennis Boyd as the Gray County Veteran Service Officer due to Rick Dunn’s retirement, and it was approved.

Next was to have a discussion for the yearly review from the White Deer Land Museum, but was postponed due to the director not being in attendance.

Next was to discuss and consider the Gray County Bank Depository Contract, in which the court decided to accept proposals instead of renewing the existing contract with Happy State Bank.

Next was to consider accepting the donation of land to Gray County for expansion of the Gray County Precinct 3 Facility Footprint, and it was graciously accepted by the court.

Next was to consider accepting and implementing new language for Precinct Worker Hiring Practices and after careful review of the changes made after the previous meeting, it was approved.

Next was to consider approving TAC Provided Training for Cyber Security as mandated by statute, and it was approved.

Next was to consider approving replacement of an employee in the County Clerk’s Office, which was approved.

The last item on the agenda was to accept and recognize Continuing Education hours for the Gray County Treasurer, which was approved. 

After a few remarks regarding other issues not proposed on the agenda, the meeting was then adjourned.
