Pampa Academy of Christian Education recently attended a week-long South Plains Regional Student Convention in Cedar Hills, Texas. The students, ages 13-17, had the privilege of competing with students from Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana in academics, drama, athletics, photography, art, and Bible.
We are proud to announce that the students received six 1st place medals, eight 2nd place medals, five 3rd place medals, seven 4th place medals, one 5th place medal, and two 6th place medals. In addition, the students received 14 other placings between 7th and 15th places. Also, the academy received 2nd place overall in the Platform division, receiving a plaque of recognition.
P.A.C.E. attends this Regional Student Convention, as well as the Junior Regional Student Convention, annually. These conventions give all the students the opportunity to enhance their gifts and talents outside the local school setting and provide an outlet for them to challenge themselves in new areas of interest.
All our P.A.C.E. students qualified to move on to compete at the internation level by placing in the top 6 at the regional convention. The International Student Convention will be held at Ball State University, in Muncie, Indiana, May 24th-29th. This is an opportunity like no other – to compete with students from across American and around the world. In 2024, the students competed with 14 other countries.
The students are currently raising funds to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
The total expense will be approximately $5,000. If you would like to make a monetary gift for these expenses, A.J. Taylor can be reached at 806-440-4240.
Please find our Pampa Academy Auction page on Facebook to take advantage of our upcoming online auction. Pampa’s local area businesses have graciously donated amazing items for this auction.
