Pampa Meals on Wheels Awarded Neighborhood As part of The Starbucks Foundation’s Neighborhood Grants program, Pampa Meals on Wheels was selected to receive a $1,000.00 grant. This grant award is thanks to a nomination from Odalis G, a local Starbucks partner who recognized the work of the organization in Pampa, Texas. Through this unique partner-led community giving program, The Starbucks Foundation invites Starbucks partners and alumni to nominate a local organization in their community. Since 2019, more than 16,000 grants have been awarded to local organizations, amounting to more than $25 million.

This year, Pampa Meals on Wheels was selected from among 56,000 nominations submitted by Starbucks partners.

Pampa Meals on Wheels focuses on addressing food insecurity, senior isolation, and health disparities by delivering nutritious meals directly to the homes of elderly, disabled, and homebound residents in Gray County.

This grant will directly support the purchase of food, containers, and supplies needed to prepare and deliver over 60,000 meals annually. In addition to nourishment, our volunteers provide daily wellness checks and social interaction, which are vital for clients who may otherwise go days without seeing another person. Our goal is to help individuals maintain their independence and remain safe in their homes.

“For many of our clients, we’re not just delivering a meal—we’re delivering hope, dignity, and a sense of connection,” said a representative from Pampa Meals on Wheels. “This grant helps us continue that mission, one meal and one visit at a time.”

The Starbucks Foundation’s Neighborhood Grants program supports grassroots, community-led nonprofit organizations making a difference in their community. With Starbucks partners leading the way, Starbucks helps communities thrive. Neighborhood Grants also help build sustained local impact and inspire increased partner engagement with nonprofit organizations and charities that work in their communities.

“Starbucks has always been the community coffeehouse – a place where our partners (employees) build real connections. Through this latest round of Neighborhood Grants, they’ve nominated local organizations making meaningful impact, from addressing hunger to supporting youth,” said Kelly Goodejohn, executive director of The Starbucks Foundation. “We’re proud to support these efforts and the role our partners play in strengthening their communities.”
