Pampa Meals on Wheels Fundraisers

Posted

Pampa Meals on Wheels is holding two fundraisers to raise money to help with the operation of the beloved non-profit organization that delivers free meals to citizens of Pampa who are homebound, whether by illness, disability or age and are unable to cook for themselves.

They are actively selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a quilt created by Delma Edwards of Eagle River Quilt Works in Alaska.

Delma and her husband, Tony are both veterans of the U.S. military and after their retirement, realized they both shared the same passion for quilting and sewing and decided to open up their own business in 2017, handmaking quilts from start to finish.

The quilt that is up for the raffle is worth $900 and the tickets are $10 a piece or $25 for three tickets. The raffle will continue through until September 2.

The other item for sale is a collection of recipes submitted by local residents and organizations, including members of the 4-H Club and students within the district.

There are plenty of books for sale and they are $20 a piece.

For more information on how to purchase raffle tickets or a cookbook, give Meals on Wheels a call at 806-669-1007 or come by their location at 302 E. Foster.

All donations are graciously accepted and volunteers are always needed!
