This past Saturday, the wind blew in the best of the best grillers from all over the panhandle to compete in the annual Pampa VFW Post 1657 BBQ Cookoff, with 15 teams in total smoking and grilling a variety of meats for hungry judges and attendees. Folks who came out enjoyed an afternoon of good eatin’, cold drinks, rounds of cornhole, and live music from Pampa’s very own Arieon Keller. The Pampa VFW thanks this year’s sponsors: Lilith Brainard, B&G Electric, Bob Douthit Autos, Tyson, Budweiser, Blue Bell, Culligan, Cabot, Open Range Field Services, Apodaca Brothers, FirstBank Southwest, and Coca-Cola. They also thank the Pampa VFW Auxiliary, all of those who competed, and to everyone who came out and helped make this annual cookoff one for the books.
