Pampa’s Newest Food Trailer: Palomita Mexican Food

Posted

Sitting at 729 Frederic Avenue is Pampa’s newest food trailer, Palomita Mexican Food, lighting up the road like a mini ball of sunshine on wheels.

Locally owned and operated by Ana Marquez, Roman Castillo and Efrain Blanco, Palomita is a long-time dream finally come true that gives its owners the opportunity to share their love of authentic Mexican quisine with the Pampa community.

“I just love to cook and this is a dream for me,” Ana said. “I started in the kitchen of my home, and now we’ve finally opened our own business!”

With a plan in one hand and a bright yellow trailer in the other, the trio got to work and opened for business.

The menu consists of hearty plates packed with deliciousness, such as Ana’s favorite, a quesabirria plate, tortas, quesadillas, of course tacos, flautas and burritos, and the Palomita burger that comes with a side of fries. Each plate comes with beans and rice, and freshly made horchatas, cucumber water, and Mexican sodas are also available upon request.

Palomita is also open for breakfast from 8 AM to 2 PM, then open again for dinner from 5 PM to 11 PM, so there’s plenty of time throughout the day to stop by and grab a bite to eat.

Ana, Roman and Efrain are all focused on the success of their new business, so they will be dedicating all of their time to providing great food and service to those who stop by, and while I was wrapping up this interview, a customer had just pulled up to see what this little yellow trailer had to offer.

So be sure to stop by, meet these friendly folks, and grab a plate that will be sure to bust your belt. Follow their Facebook page to see their full menu and what specials they have running for the day.

“We welcome everyone to our new business and we hope you give us a try!”
