On Tuesday, September 23, many members of the Pampa community gathered together in the brand new Ford showroom at Parkway Ford in Pampa to help promote Parkway’s food drive as part of a global initiative by Ford Motor Company to combat food insecurity during Global Caring Month (September 15–25).

Those in attendance were Pampa Mayor Mike Borger, Superintendent Hugh Piatt, Assistant City Manager Dustin Miller, PEDC Director Ryan Bradley, Pampa Fire Chief Kasey Presson, Chamber of Commerce Director Cortnie Hale, members of the Chamber Gold Coats, Jason and Meredith Bagwell, as well as us here at The Pampa News.

“Ford has challenged dealers around the world to make history with The World’s Largest Dealer Food Drive. Parkway Ford is proud to answer that call by working hand-in-hand with Pampa’s leaders and families to fight hunger right here at home,” said Pampa Parkway Ford General Manager, Desmond Stirgus.

“We’ve turned our showroom into a hub for giving, with an iconic silver 2024 F-250 as the centerpiece collection bin. Ford’s official campaign materials are on display, and we’re inviting the Pampa community to drop off donations through the end of this month.”

“It’s not about collecting cans-it’s about showing Pampa that we’re here to stay and we’re investing in the community. We want to show the whole world what Pampa is doing for their own community.”

If you have canned goods or food items that you would like to donate, stop by Parkway Ford Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM until the end of September.
