It’s that time of year again, folks! Xtra Auto Center of Pampa is now holding their 6th annual bicycle giveaway where 24 lucky kiddos will get to scratch off that new bike from their Christmas list.
The 20 inch bikes are split evenly between 12 girls and 12 boys between the ages of five and ten.
This holiday event is something that the crew at Xtra Auto Center enjoys every year and to see the faces of these kids as they hop on their new bikes puts a smile on their faces as well.
“This is something we always wanted to do but just never really had the space to do it, and this happens to be our 6th Christmas here in this building,” Jeff Stevens said. “This is just a little token of us trying to give back to the community.”
This much-anticipated event is something special for not only the winners, but for Jeff, Johnny, and Lucy as well. Jeff recalls a winner from their first giveaway six years ago who still remembers him from that one day, and it’s those moments that validate the impact being made each year. And who knows, maybe that kid will upgrade his two wheels to four wheels in another few years and know exactly where to go for his next ride!
With costs continuously on the rise, employers thinning out their staff, and budget cuts, the Christmas season has become more difficult when it comes to gift-giving, especially fulfilling a kid’s Christmas wishlist. This giveaway gives families the opportunity to enter their child in to win something big, ultimately easing up those holiday financial concerns and brightening up the lucky kiddo’s day.
For those who would like to enter the drawing can do so by visiting their location at 1401 N. Hobart during their normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM. No purchase or test drive necessary!
The last day to enter the drawing is December 17 and winners will be announced per the contact information that was given on the ticket on December 18.
We thank Xtra Auto Center for continuing to carry out this wonderful tradition and for their dedication to serving the Pampa community for all these years!
