Tonight: Community-Wide Grief Counseling Hosted by Winegeart Funeral Home

In an effort to help ease the hearts and minds of a community and to fill that gap between seeking comfort and finding comfort, Winegeart Funeral Home is inviting anyone who is carrying grief of any sort for an evening of fellowship and support.

“Our community needs something like this so badly,” said Alana Winegeart. “There’s just so many people out there hurting and we want to have this as an open group where they feel comfortable sharing their stories. Grief can come from anything-from losing a loved one, friend or a pet, to just missing your home that you had to move out of. Whatever they’re going through, we just want them to feel like they have a safe, open space to share it.”

The first session will start tonight at 6:30 PM and Winegeart plans to have a session every three months. Guest speaker, Pastor Nancy James will offer words of encouragement and hope, and refreshments will be provided and is completely free to the public.

So if you feel like there is no one to talk to about the burden, heartache, or grief you carry, come by Winegart Funeral Home, located at 300 W. Browning, and allow others who truly care to help lighten the load.
