David Adam Meyer, age 42, of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of Pampa, passed away at his home in Lubbock on April 6, 2026.

Born August 21, 1983, in Midland, Texas, Adam was the firstborn child of David Michael Meyer and Kimberly Hood.

Adam graduated from Pampa High School in 2001 and later attended classes at the University of North Texas. He eventually pursued a different path, earning his Hazmat certification and CDL. His professional journey began as a correctional officer, where he achieved the rank of lieutenant at both the Baten and Jorden Units. In 2022, Adam embarked on a new adventure with Liberty Energy as a fracker—a job he loved, especially because it enabled him to purchase his dream car, a 2025 Jeep Wagoneer.

An avid reader, Adam enjoyed fantasy novels by authors such as R.R. Martin and Stephen King. He spent countless hours online gaming, particularly playing Fantasy 14, and had a deep appreciation for music. Adam’s tastes were wide-ranging, spanning Indie Rock, classic rock & roll, heavy metal, and even bands like Mars Volta.

Being the firstborn, Adam naturally sought to be the center of attention. Known for his sharp wit, sarcasm, and infectious humor, he was always the jokester at gatherings, bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. Adam was, above all, a “big ball of fun”—someone who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Adam’s remarkable and humorous memory will be cherished by his mother, Kimberly Hood of Pampa; his brothers, Daniel Meyer of Pampa and Darrin Meyer of Harker Heights, Texas; and his nephews, Daemion Meyer and Dalton Meyer.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Adam’s life will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Serenity Chapel of Winegeart Funeral Home. The family has entrusted his cremation care to Winegeart Funeral Home.
