Esmeralda “Lolly” Velasquez Carver, 67 years old, of Pampa, Texas, joined her beloved husband in eternity on Friday, April 3, 2026, surrounded by her children and family. She was born March 21, 1959, in Spur, Texas during a blizzard in a little shed in the yard without a doctor since he couldn’t get to her in the snow.

One of her younger sisters couldn’t pronounce her name, Esmeralda, correctly, so her sister started calling her Lolly which just seemed to stick. She worked with her family including brothers, sisters, mother and father in the fields of West Texas from chopping Johnson Grass to picking cotton, sometimes doing concrete work or even pulling nails from 2x4’s. Starting at the age of six, Lolly was a very hard worker and even more motivated.

Unbeknownst to her, she grew up with the love of her life in the same neighborhood and eventually they started dating. On July 4, 1976, she married Tommy Carver (AKA Silver Tooth) and together, they formed a family full of love.

Her passion for cooking made her job at Pampa Regional Medical Center as a Dietician a joy from day to day. She also cleaned homes for others for about ten years, but her favorite job was being a housewife and mom. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing clothes for the kids as youngsters, helping the boys in the shop working on cars, and even collecting coins. She was a very eclectic person which reflected in her styles of music which she liked to be played loud. Lolly loved all genres of music with 21 Pilots being among her favorites.

Lolly loved to be outside, she was an amazing prankster and told jokes all the time. She loved to laugh and got even more enjoyment from making others smile and laugh as well.

She was preceded by her loving husband, Tommy Carver; her parents, Jesus and Guadalupe Velasquez; siblings, Jesse Velasquez and Rosie DeWitt.

Her loving and happy nature will always be remembered by her six children, Thomas Ray Carver and wife Angela of Pampa, Teresa Campos and husband Michael of Pampa, Michael Carver of Odessa, Johnny Ray Carver and wife Linda of Pampa, Steven Carver of Amarillo, Kristi Summers of Houston; two brothers, Domingo Velasquez and Rick Velasquez both of Pampa; three sisters, Aide Nava and husband Joe of Dallas, Lupe Ramos and husband Manuel of Amarillo and Margie Cawthron of Amarillo, 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who will all miss her.

Lolly will be available for viewing on Monday, April 6 th from 2pm to 8pm at Winegeart Funeral Home in the Serenity Chapel.

Celebration of Life Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Winegeart Funeral Home in the Serenity Chapel with Brother Paul Hudson officiating. Cremation will follow services. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
