Fred W. “Freddie” Kindle, 86, of Pampa, passed away on December 27, 2023, in Pampa.

A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. James Greer, officiating. Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Freddie was born on December 4, 1937, in Olympus, TX to Delmas and Mable Kindle. As a young boy his family moved to Lefors where he grew up and graduated from high school Fred married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Lamb on August 27, 1960.  Following his service in the U. S. Army, Freddie returned to Pampa where he started his long career with Pioneer Natural Gas and later Energas.

Fred was a former long serving Board Member of the Top O’ Texas Rodeo Association. He appreciated the outdoors, he especially liked taking his Jeep “Willis” for drives and also liked to camp, fish, and hunt. Fred was a genealogy enthusiast and dedicated most of his retirement years to documenting the Family Tree and helping others in their research.  He was also a very intelligent and creative man who could design or invent anything he put his mind to. Freddie was a fair and quiet man but when he spoke or offered advice, most people would listen closely. Above all he was very proud of all his family and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Kindle; and by his in-law’s, Claude and Helen Lamb.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Peggy Kindle of the home; two daughters, Toni Howard and husband Blake of Pampa, and Tina Hagerman and husband Mark of Robinson; four grandchildren, Logan Howard and wife Kamie of Humble, Kristen Austin and husband Curtis of Robinson, Clayton Hagerman and wife Evan of Hewitt, and Jaden Howard and wife Aby of Lubbock; four great-grandchildren, Corbyn, Beckett, Blakely, and Wells; a great-grandchild on the way; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Smith and husband Terry of Hooker, Oklahoma, and Pat Kindle of Pampa; and other extended family.
