The Pampa Harvester swim team met for their Green and Gold Meet on Saturday morning at the Pampa Youth and Community Center. Friends from Spearman, Panhandle and Canadian made the drive to join in on the fun, as well as parents and future junior swimmers.
No ribbons or medals were awarded at this meet as its’ purpose was for good old-fashion fun and practice.
The swim meet started out with one-way sprints and senior recognition, followed by a list of activities including a boys and girls medley relay, free-style swims, back and breast relays and more.
The highlight of the day was the interpretive dive event, humbly dubbed the “belly flop” contest, which invited swimmers, coaches and parents to participate.
The Pampa News thanks the Pampa Swim Team for allowing us to tag along.
