Buddy’s Home Furnishings, located in what used to be One-Stop Flooring at 1533 N. Hobart in Pampa, has opened a location in Pampa.
A familiar face is managing the business as Jeff Kennedy, has jumped on board over at Buddy’s to help get the business off the ground and transition into the Pampa community.
Buddy’s is a chain rent-to-own franchise with more than 300 locations nationwide.
One of the unique features about Buddy’s is the customer’s freedom over the payment schedule.
“We do two, four or six month same-as-cash,” Kennedy said. “We also do cash-and-carry and match competitor pricing.”
Buddy’s also has a referral reward program for customer’s.
Kennedy said customers are already impressed with the line of furniture and appliances they see when they walk in the door.
“They love the rustic furniture and the Catnapper recliners,” Kennedy said. “We sell quite a few of the bedroom sets. The quality of the furniture is many of the better furniture brands. We have around 500 pieces of furniture on the floor at anytime.”
In the appliances, Buddy’s carries everything from Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, Whirlpool, Kenmore, GE and Elecrolux.
Kennedy said the owner, Joe Bob Ellis out of Lubbock, has given him free rein for the community involvement.
“He (Ellis) told me that anything I was doing at the other place I can do here,” Kennedy said. “I’m still going to do selfies with Santa and the Easter Bunny. I’m still doing Meals on Wheels.”
Buddy’s Home Furnishings is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed on Sundays. For more information or to take a look at their showcase, call 806-696-3669.
