How old is the earth? When did dinosaurs roam the earth? When did people first live on the earth? Most people learned the answers to these two questions in their high school textbook or in their college textbooks.
The standard answer for most folks regarding the age of the earth has been around 4 billion years since the 1950s. Most people believe that the question about dinosaurs still remains between 245-66 millions of years ago. People? Well, most people would begin their answer by saying, “That depends.” They would then refer to the ape-like human as about 2 million years ago, followed by modern people as 200,000 years ago. Again those answers would spring from high school and college biology books. The assumption by most people is that science is the only legitimate source for answering those 3 questions.
OK, then how about we turn to science for something that isn’t in any of those biology textbooks: CARBON 14. Oh, carbon 14 is mentioned in those books, but not some of the modern discoveries from carbon 14. Strap on your seatbelt for a warp-drive speed jump.
Modern science books will explain that carbon 14 “is used by archeologists to date trees, plants, and animal remains; as well as human artifacts made from wood and leather; because these items are generally younger than 50,000 years.” Did you get that? Items must be less than 50,000 years old in order for carbon dating to be of any benefit. Less than 50,000 years.
Over the past 20 years many sources have obtained samples of diamonds, coal and dinosaur fossils and sent them to one of the radiocarbon testing labs here in America. The results have all been the same. SIGNIFICANT CARBON 14 has been found in every sample. At first scientists claimed that the samples must have been contaminated. But as the samples grew in numbers, from places all over the world, the conclusion had to be faced. Using scientist’s own testing tool, from various labs all over the US and even the world, Carbon 14 was in every sample. Conclusion: diamonds, coal and dinosaur fossils had to be less than 50,000 years old.
But dinosaur fossils were supposed to be 66-245 million years old, which meant that there wasn’t supposed to be even a speck of carbon 14 in them; but there was carbon 14. Coal was supposed to be 299-359 millions of years old, which meant that there couldn’t possibly be any carbon 14, but there was. Diamonds were supposed to be between 1-3 billions of years old, which absolutely meant that there couldn’t be any carbon 14, BUT THERE WAS!
So is any of this information in the high school biology textbooks used all over America? Even right here in Pampa? NO! Does carbon 14 CRUSH the idea of millions and billions of years? YES!
Oh, and one more thing. The testing results on all of the dinosaur fossils which have been submitted over the past 20 years, have been dated between 40,000 and 19,000 years old.
Conclusion? Carbon 14 demands a “YOUNG EARTH” view of history. Now personally I believe that it is even younger than carbon 14 results. However, for high school students and college students to be taught all of these lies, about millions and billions of years, concerning the ages of everything is a tragedy. So, parents, teach your kids about carbon 14 and what it means. Check out the dinosaur books and videos that your children read and watch and point out the lies about “millions and billions of years ago”. Better yet, teach your kids about Genesis in their Bible and point out the only eye-witness account of the age of everything. God bless.
