Carol Ann Anderson-Ayres, 76, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in McLean.
Services are pending with Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
Carol was born March 6, 1948 in Paso Robles, California to Donald and Donna Ayres and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School.
She lived in California for over 66 years before moving to Pampa.
While in California, she worked for TRW and Ziatech for over 45 years. Carol was the team leader at TRW that worked on and oversaw the components for the first space shuttle. Being detailed oriented made her a great team leader.
Carol enjoyed bowling in leagues for many years and enjoyed being involved with the CB radio Mule Club, with her handle being “Annie Oakley”.
When she moved to Pampa she became a member of Redeemer Pampa Church along with her family.
Carol was a caring and loving person who was always willing to help others. She had a kind and sweet spirit but could also be direct if she needed to. Her communication skills with her eyes will always be remembered by all who knew that look. Carol was a good friend and will be missed.
Survivors include her two sons, Wil Anderson of Grover Beach, California and Michael Anderson and wife Devney of Pampa; two granddaughters, Megan Anderson and Jonathan Evey of Pampa and Jessica Anderson and Carlos Santuario of Pampa; two grandsons, Mason Brandenburg and wife Caitlin and Cooper Anderson and wife Katelin Anderson all of Pampa; great grandchildren, Weston Jones, Aubrie Jones, Jameson Brandenburg, Savannah Brandenburg, Ziggy Santuario, Zaily Santuario, Aiden Anderson, and Adley Anderson all of Pampa; brother, Richard Ayres and wife Teri of Arroyo Grande, California; two sisters, Cheryl King of Kingman, Arizona and Debbie Tyler of Twin Falls, Idaho; and a daughter-in-law, Lori Anderson of Morro Bay, California.
