The Pampa Harvesters and Lady Harvesters swim teams continued to show improvement as they competed at the Amarillo Invitational in their second meet of the 2026 season. Both squads turned in strong individual and relay performances, with several swimmers earning top finishes and every competitor recording at least one personal best.
Lady Harvesters Turn in Strong Performances
Senior Emery Lowenstein led the Lady Harvesters in individual points, earning a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle and placing fifth in the 50-yard freestyle.
Junior Madilyn Paul added a fourth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, while sophomore Zayannah Baker finished sixth in the 100-yard individual medley.
The Lady Harvesters also turned in a strong performance in the 200-yard medley relay, finishing third. The relay team consisted of Lowenstein, Baker, Paul and senior Faith Robles.
Freshman Debra Sims helped mark the debut of Pampa’s junior varsity swim team with an impressive second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
Head Swimming Coach Jeremiah Day praised the Lady Harvesters for their continued progress early in the season.
“The girls did great in only our second meet of the season. Every girl set a personal best in at least one event,” Day said.
Harvesters Continue to Improve in the Pool
On the boys’ side, sophomore Orion Taylor led the Harvesters in individual points with a pair of third-place finishes. Taylor placed third in the 200-yard individual medley and third in the 100-yard backstroke, setting personal bests in both events.
The Harvesters also earned a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team consisted of freshman Anthony Robles, sophomore Juaquin Chavez Badillo, sophomore Orion Taylor and freshman Joshua Carson.
Every member of the boys’ team recorded personal-best times in their individual events, demonstrating the continued growth of the program as the season progresses.
“The boys continue to improve each meet this year,” Day said.
Harvesters Prepare to Host Green and Gold Meet
The Harvesters and Lady Harvesters will return to the pool on Saturday, October 24, when they host the Green and Gold Swim Meet at the Pampa Youth and Community Center.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. and conclude at approximately noon.
In addition to the regular swimming events, the meet will feature opportunities for spectators to participate in activities, making it an opportunity for the Pampa community to support the local swimming program.
“In addition to regular swimming events we will have some opportunities for the crowd to participate too. Hope to see you there,” Day said.
With personal-best performances throughout both rosters and several top-three finishes in Amarillo, the Harvesters and Lady Harvesters will look to carry that momentum into their home meet as they continue building toward the remainder of the season.
