At around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Hoover Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at County Road E and Danzinger Crossing caused by hay equipment that was loaded with bales of hay. Rough country made it difficult but HVFD Chief Trent Price said the fire was contained after two hours with help from local law enforcement, Gray County EMS, ESU, Pampa Fire Department, Gray County Precincts 1 and 2, Lefors, Miami, Skellytown Volunteer Fire Departments.
