The Pampa Lady Harvesters swept the Perryton Rangerettes in three games on Senior Night Tuesday at McNeely Fieldhouse.
Prior to the game, the four Seniors were recognized, Preslie Segura, Carsyn Hunt, Maecie Hawthorne and Emma Perry.
Pampa was dominant in all areas of the match and would end up winning with scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-10. Pampa improved their record to 3-9 and Perryton fell to 0-12.
In other action, West Plains took over sole possession of first place with a win over Randall (27-25, 27-25, 25-20), Canyon defeated Hereford (25-23, 25-23, 27-25) and Hereford beat Borger (25-23, 25-23, 25-22).
This was night was more about celebrating the four seniors.
Preslie Segura -- Is the daughter of Alan Segura and Molli Wells. Preslie has been involved in Student Council and a two-year varsity player. After high school, Preslie will attend college and study OBGYN Sonography. Preslie has one brother, Jimmer Segura.
Carsyn Hunt – Is the daughter of Kevin and Shawna Hunt. Carsyn has been involved in Student Ambassadors and is the Secretary for the National Honor Society. Carsyn was a three-year varsity player, earning Honorable Mention All-District as a sophomore and second team all-district her Junior Year. She has been a 4-year starter for PHS Softball, earning first team all-district honors her Freshman and Junior year and second team all-district honors her sophomore year. After high school, Carsyn will continue her volleyball career at Oklahoma Christian University and major in Nursing to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse. Carsyn has three brothers, Braden, Ethan and wife Autumn and Austin.
Maecie Hawthorne – Is the daughter of Richard and Dottie Hawthorne. Maecie has been involved in Student Council, Student Ambassadors and National Honor Society. She was a 4-year starter for the volleyball team, and her freshman year was named the Amarillo Globe News Newcomer of the year. Maecie also was second team all-district in her freshman year, and first team all-district in her Sophomore and Junior Year. Maecie is also a 4-year starter for the softball team and was named first team all-district her sophomore year. After high school, Maecie will continue her volleyball career at Southern Nazarene University and pursue a degree in Biochemistry. Maecie has three sisters, Hallie, Rylee, and Landry.
Emma Perry – is the daughter of Joe and Kerrey Perry. Emma has been involved in Student Council, SADD, and National Honor Society. She is also the Chief Editor of the yearbook and the Student Body Treasurer. Emma is on the ACT wall of fame and is in the top 10% of her class. Emma was a 2-year member of the varsity team. After high school, Emma plans to attend the University of North Texas and major in Construction Management Engineering.
