Margaret Ann Fox, 71, of Pampa passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Ben Graves, youth minister at Briarwood Church, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Margaret was born on December 12, 1949 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. When she was a young girl, Ralph and Margaret Fox adopted Margaret, loving and caring for her as their own. She attended schools in Sapulpa, graduating in 1967. After school, she moved around the country, following her parents from town to town. Margaret eventually settled in Skellytown in the 1970s. There she attended First Baptist Church of Skellytown. She worked in Pampa, starting at the bra factory. Later she took a job in housekeeping for the hospital.

In the early 1980s, Margaret adopted her son, Alex. She took him in at 18 months old and raised him in Skellytown. In 2000, the two of them moved to Pampa. They were members at Briarwood Church. In her spare time, Margaret loved to read. She had entire collections of romance novels. She also enjoyed getting to spend time with her family.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Richard William, Randy Ruth, Bobby Wayne Fox, and Ralph Fox, Jr.; and two sisters, Dorothy Holloway and Barbra Easley.

She is survived by her son, Alex Fox of the home; three sisters, Bobby Jo Wright and husband Allen of Burkburnett, Susan Hennessey of Skellytown, and Mable Fox-Ruth of Borger; brother, Gary Metz and wife Terri of Terrell; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
