Pampa Chamber’s first Blue Jean Ball set for Saturday

The Pampa Chamber of Commerce will hold their first-ever Blue Jean Ball fundraiser on Saturday, July 23 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Round Rock Retreat and Venue, located at 8708 Loop 171 in Pampa.

Chamber Director Cortnie Patterson said she was inspired to put the event together after seeing the response to the Wade Bowen concert being moved indoors.

“It was such a good response,” Patterson said. “People were able to just hangout and dance. People are always so much responsive to music they know than music they don’t know. So we want to bring back the 1990s country music.”

Patterson’s husband, Mark, will be playing live music with members from the Seth Ward Band for the evening.

The dress code for the evening? Blue jeans and denim.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing people dressed in their 90s style,” Patterson said. “If people want to come in their blue jeans, boots and denim dress or they want to go full 90s throwback, we’re just excited to see the creative feedback. It’s going to be a casual, relaxed atmosphere.”

There will be cups for $30 with beer to fill the cup throughout the night. Tickets for the dance only are $20.

Patterson mentioned the Moose Lodge is having a steak dinner that evening and encourages guests to eat there and come to the dance to enjoy the evening.
