Pampa H20 releases guidelines for June 22 reopening

Posted

The City of Pampa released Tuesday their guidelines for reopening Pampa H20 Water Park.

The following guidelines have been posted:

“- Pampa H2O will open on Monday, June 22 and our last day will be Sunday, Aug. 2.

“- Currently water parks are only allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity as mandated by  Governor Abbott. 50 percent of our capacity is 250 people. Regardless of what the Governor allows we will never go over 75 percent capacity this summer.

“- The park will be open two sessions a day. Monday through Saturday the first session will be 12–3 p.m. The park will close at 3 p.m., staff will clean the park and the park will reopen at 4 p.m. The second session will be 4–7 p.m. The park will close for the day at 7 p.m. Sunday’s the park will open with first session at 1 p.m. Sunday’s sessions are: first session 1–4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.. The park will close at 7:30 p.m. on Sundays. These sessions allow more people to get to experience the park as there are capacity restrictions and allow staff times to clean the facility daily.

“- We will have private parties from 8–10 p.m. Private parties will fall under the same capacity restrictions.

“- All admissions to the park will be reduced to $5 per person. Ages 0-3 will still be free. Admission is only good for one session per day. Admission will be charged again if you want to attend second session on the same day. Once again every person counts toward capacity numbers so this allows more people the opportunity to enjoy the park on a daily basis.

“- Each day we will set aside 100 reservations over the phone per session. You may call our number 806-665-5730 and reserve your space within the park. 1st session reservations will not begin until 11 a.m. Monday – Saturday. Once the park opens to that session there will be no reservations taken for that session. Second session reservations will also begin at 11 a.m. and will stop at 4 p.m. when the second session opens. First session reservations on Sunday begin at 12 p.m. and stop at 1 p.m. Second session reservations on Sunday begin at 12 p.m. and stop at 4 p.m. We will NOT take reservations days in advance. We will not return phone calls regarding reservations. Someone will be available to answer the phone in those designated times. If you are driving over we strongly encourage you to make reservations over the phone to ensure a spot inside the park. Reservations will only be held for one hour into the session. With capacity restrictions this is the only way to guarantee a spot inside the park. Reservations will be limited to six people per group.

“- Everyone entering the park will be required to sign a COVID release form. Parent or Guardian MUST sign for children. They will not be allowed in the park without the form signed. Form will only need to be signed once for the season. One form may be signed for a family.

“- There will be no promotional events at the park this summer (Adult Swim, Toddler Time).

“- There will be no pavilion rentals during the regular operating hours.

“- There will be no tubes available or flotation devices in the lazy river or anywhere inside the park. Obviously life saving devices for children is allowed.

“- Chairs and loungers will be placed in strategic locations around the park to maintain social distancing. PLEASE do not move the chairs or loungers. You will be asked to move them back to location.

“- Social distancing is expected when waiting in any line. (Entry, concession, slides, diving boards...)

“- Cleaning will be done throughout the day by staff on high touch areas.

“Going into this season we are extremely short-staffed. These changes are the only way we can make the park open this year regardless of what’s allowable at any given time by the State. Please be patient with us as we get through the trial and error of this opening. If something needs changed we will certainly address something that can be done better. We felt it was important to give people some sort of return to normalcy and have something to do so please help us by following these guidelines we feel can make this work best.

“As every year, our number one priority is safety! We feel this is the safest way to open the park. We will respect and follow what the national, state and local authorities require. If you chose not to follow those requirements you may be asked to leave the facility. “
