On Tuesday, March 5, Pampa High School held a career fair that brought numerous local businesses, organizations, mentors and recruiters to speak to students about potential career and military opportunities and continued education.

Instructors from Clarendon College and Frank Phillips College were present to interest the students in furthering their education, whether it be for a certified trade or a degree in a specific field of study.

Representatives and employees for the City of Pampa and the Pampa Police Department offered their insights as to how these students can serve their community should they decide to stay in the place they call home and the positions they can take that can make a positive and tremendous impact on the town and its citizens.

As a major part of the Texas Panhandle industry, representatives from Cabot Corporation, Pantex, Hunting Titan and Xcel Energy just to name a few, dropped by to offer students promising and life-long career opportunities in the various fields of each company.

Local businesses and companies in the health and wellness career spectrum, such as Arrington Dental, Pampa Regional Medical Center and Interim spoke to students about the various positions they offer that would allow these soon-to-be adults a chance to work directly with the public in the most crucial aspects of a person’s well-being.

Recruiters from the U.S. Army, Navy and Marines were also present to offer students an experience unlike any other to serve their country in any of the vast fields within each branch.

The career fair was extremely impactful and Pampa High School thanks all those who came to inspire and offer hope for these students, making their outlooks on the future that much brighter.
